Eligibility for becoming an Agent of LIC of India
Age 18 years Completed as on date of application with a minimum qualification of 10th Standard.
- You should be at least 18 years old
- You should have at least passed class 10 or equivalent examination
- It is mandatory for you to attend the Pre Recruitment Training organised by Insurance Institute of India and appear for the Test authorised by IRDA

Submit Documents
List of documents you need to submit for registration and verification:

Step 3
Mandatory Training
Undergo a training program for a better understanding of Insurance, legal principles, products, processes, technology and Regulatory aspects. Complete it online/offline as per your convenience.
Step 4
Passing the III Exam
The training program prepares you adequately for the Mandatory Insurance Institute of India (III) exam. Only by passing the exam you will be appointed as an Agent.
Step 5
Appointment
You will now receive an Appointment Letter from LIC of India and will be authorized to sell the Life Insurance policies.
